Last Thursday, November 16th, at the Auburn Joint Marketing Meeting, The Placer County Association of REALTORS (PCAR) Foundation presented $56,500 to local charities in need. A total of $76,500 has been donated since the beginning of this year.   We are very fortunate to have the support of our membership to give back and make a difference in Placer County. To date this year’s non-profit recipients include:

*The Salt Mine
*Seniors First
*St. Vincent de Paul
*Salvation Army, Auburn
*Salvation Army, Roseville
*Soroptimist of Colfax
*Stand Up Placer

“It is extremely important to PCAR that our members support the Foundation and the various groups that are positively impacted from our year-round fundraising efforts,” said Dean Anderson, PCAR CEO. “Our REALTOR and affiliate members are so passionate about contributing to these causes and many other throughout our community. It is exciting to see how our industry is able to effect change in our community and support those most in need each year.”

Various PCAR committees host a series of events throughout the year, raising the necessary funds for the annual grant program. Events include, but are not limited to; Aloha Night (Young Professional’s Network), Monte Carlo Night (Affiliate Committee) and the Annual Crab Feed (Foundation Fundraising Committee).

 

“The PCAR Foundation was created in 2011, and since then we have had the privilege of contributing approximately $289,000 to local organizations.” noted Kim Tucker, PCAR Foundation President. “As an organization, we support charities that provide food, clothing, shelter and/or mental health services to community members , as well as educational sponsorship’s for Placer County students.”
