Attn: PCAR REALTORS! Your vote is needed at our General Membership Meeting next Tuesday, August 20th-8:30 am
The purpose of this General Membership meeting is to seek approval from the membership to purchase real property located at 270 Technology Way in Rocklin, CA. This property is located on the North West corner of Hwy 65 & Sunset Blvd and will provide the following:
1) Relocation of the Association operations and event center to the Hwy 65 corridor where significant future growth of Placer County is projected.
2) Freeway visibility of the REALTOR® building in Placer County which will promote the REALTOR® brand to residents, businesses and leaders in Placer County.
3) Significant tenant lease space in the proposed property as well as our existing facility at 4750 Grove Street, which will provide an additional revenue stream for the association and allow us to provide additional services to our membership.
In order to act on this proposal, there must be a 10% quorum of REALTOR® members present at the General Membership meeting. Approval of this proposal will be a majority vote of those REALTOR® members present at the General Membership meeting, provided a 10% quorum is present. In the event that a 10% quorum is not present, then the Board of Directors shall be authorized to act on behalf of the Placer County Association of REALTORS® in accordance with the Bylaws.
The Executive Committee strongly encourages every member to attend this very exciting and important meeting where we will share the Board of Directors’ vision for PCAR’s future. The format for this meeting will be formal with a report, motion for action, discussion/Q&A and vote. The Bylaws only allow for REALTOR® members to quantify a quorum and vote in this matter, but Affiliates are strongly encouraged to be present at this historic meeting.
In place of the regular scheduled PCAR-Rocklin Marketing Meeting, Tuesday, August 20th-8:30 am, we will be conducting a General Membership Meeting.
