Entertainment

Art Galleries – Exhibits are scheduled nearly year round at the Roseville Arts Center, Tower Theatre Gallery and Allovio Gallery, all in Roseville, the Accent Frame and Granite Gallery in Granite Bay, and the many galleries in Old Town and Downtown Auburn.  You will want to participate in one of the many “Art Walks” in the communities to become better aquatinted with the local artists.

Community Theater – From Roseville to Nevada County’s Nevada City, make sure you plan to have dinner or lunch near one of the theaters and then enjoy this unique entertainment.

Movie Theaters – From large movie complexes in Roseville and Auburn to small charming old theaters such as those in Colfax, you can see first run hits, bargain and classic films.

Museums – This area is rich in Gold Rush history.  Many fine restorations will delight you.

Roseville Aquatics Complex – With its 50-meter Olympic-size pool the complex is host to many swim meets and water polo tournaments.  Also included is a children’s interactive water playground.

Sports Teams – The Sacramento Kings basketball team keeps the fans yelling all season long.  Go out to a summer time treat at the Rivercats Baseball Stadium in West Sacramento.  There are many fine sport teams for young and old.  Little League to the Senior Tournament in Sun City Roseville keeps athletes of all ages busy during the seasons.

Outdoor Sports – Sailing, water skiing on Folsom Lake or the many other lakes in the area, fishing in the American and Sacramento Rivers, snow skiing in Tahoe and Nevada, flying your private plane out of Auburn or Lincoln airport, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and running on the many trials, will keep the most active person in shape.
